Alex Burd is the founder and principal attorney of The Burd Law Firm, PLLC, a Chattanooga, Tennessee law practice specializing in estate planning, probate administration, business law, and civil litigation. After law school, Alex returned to Chattanooga to begin his legal career at Tom Bible Law, where he gained experience in personal injury and civil litigation. He later co-founded and served as managing partner of Burd Raulston, PLLC before establishing his own firm in 2023.

What sets Alex apart is his contrarian, straightforward approach to estate planning. Unlike attorneys who use fear-based tactics, Alex believes in telling clients the truth: probate isn't the monster it's made out to be, and not everyone needs an expensive trust. He helps clients understand what they actually need—not what generates the highest legal fees. Throughout his career, Alex has represented clients in both federal and state courts across Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, recovering compensation in personal injury and wrongful death cases, defending clients in civil litigation, helping businesses through formation, and assisting numerous clients with estate planning and probate administration.

Alex is an active member of his community in Chattanooga, TN. He advocates for breast cancer awareness through his philanthropy with the MaryEllen Locher Foundation, serving on the Advisory Council. He attends First-Centenary UMC where he serves as Staff Parish. Alex is in his 8th season coaching youth baseball at Rivermont Youth Athletic Association.
